The Dilla Way PROMO

SMG artist Selldretti prepares for his next project release “The Dilla Way: A Tribute to J. Dilla”, which will mostly feature beats produced by one of Hip-Hop’s greatest producers and rappers J. Dilla, who passed away in 2006 due to a blood disease. Considering the Georgia artist’s style of rap and signature flow, it is easy to see the correlation between that and the feel of J. Dilla’s beats. “It just clicks to me. J. Dilla was the very first producer I listened to when I decided to make music,” said Selldretti. Music lovers out there that appreciate the 90’s era will definitely dd this project to their playlist.

When the original plan to release Selldretti’s new group album “Still Movin'” in May around the same time their first album “The Move” was released fell short due to time availability of the group, the CEO bought time to work on his individual project. Since they are all in college, time is a very valuable asset, and it turns out that the whole group is more focused on their success as a college student. “Everyone in the group is pretty busy at the moment, so the timing to work on my own individual project was nearly perfect,” says Selldretti. With the mixing and mastering not completely finished for each song, Selldretti announced that he will try to release the project on May 18th, which is also his birthday. As of right now, there is no official release date, but the project is projected to be released on mixtape platforms Dat Piff and Spinrilla.
