New Orleans filmed “Tiring” is a fresh new music video by North Carolina singer/songwriter Jackson Honeycutt from his debut album Dog Ears And Twilight Hours. The visual is directed, shot, and edited by fellow NC filmmaker Evan Kidd.
“Jackson Honeycutt & I both happened to find ourselves in New Orleans, Louisiana at the same time last year. I wanted to bring the narrative of this track to life alongside the city. About a guy who was clearly depressed in the midst of this wild and vibrant city that never stops, so we went for it. I thought the juxtaposition of New Orleans would be interesting to play with. So we took my camera into the city and experimented,” says Kidd.

Honeycutt says, “Tiring is a song I wrote when I was a junior in high school, and it’s all about trying to feel your value as a person while dealing with how small you really are. So when we had the chance to film a video in New Orleans we knew that Tiring was our best choice. New Orleans is such a living and breathing thing, all the people, art, music, food and personality moving and interacting to form this place. So getting to film the video for Tiring which is a very introverted song talking about the places and people I will never see or never really understand. New Orleans really captures that human experience for me, and as much as I loved it dear lord is it Tiring.”
