Written by Zac Stanford, The Argument stars Dan Fogler (Fantastic Beasts) as Jack, and Emma Bell (Walking Dead) as his actress girlfriend, Lisa. The movie follows the couple as they get into an argument during a dinner party with acquaintances at their apartment. As the argument escalates, the dinner party comes to an abrupt end. All of their friends leave, but the party isn’t over.
Jack and Lisa recreate the party over and over again, with all of their reluctant guests. The purpose is to figure out just who is right. Each new recreation leads to even more confusion between the couple, and arguments amongst the guests. Fogler is perfectly cast as Jack, the jealous, insecure boyfriend who happens to be a writer. In calling upon his craft to solve the mystery, Jack is forced to not only examine his relationship with Lisa but also question his career as a writer. Audiences will not only enjoy the dialogue between Jack and Lisa, but they will also be entertained by the verbal exchanges between their diverse guests.
The Argument offers a fresh take on the “two sides to every story” plotline. The team behind this new comedy (directed by Robert Schwartzman) created a multi-sensory movie-watching experience with the launch of The Argument wine, a Sonoma Pinot Noir, to be enjoyed as a bundle with the movie. As enjoying movies at home becomes the new normal, this partnership is a great way to experience this cinematic gem. The bundle options are now available at TheArgumentWine.com.
