Drawing inspiration from Greek mythology, The Drowned tells the story of three thieves who, after stealing a priceless painting, retreat to a remote seaside safe house—only to find their fourth accomplice has vanished. As suspicion mounts, the group must confront the unsettling question: is one of them responsible for her disappearance, or is something far more sinister lurking beneath the waves?
Previously titled The Waterhouse, the film made its premiere at London’s FrightFest Halloween and is set for digital release via Sunrise Films on major platforms in North America on October 7th, and in Australia and New Zealand on October 8th. Vertigo Releasing will handle the digital launch in the UK and Ireland on October 6th.
.
The Drowned is produced by Agam Jain, George Clemens, and Fernando Ruiz for Take The Shot Films, with James Kermack and Julien Loeffler for Featuristic Films. Raven Banner Entertainment is managing worldwide sales.
