This week, Canadian country singer-songwriter, Danielle Todd, releases her new single “Back Burner”. Following the amazing success of her first debut track, “Crazy”, Danielle looks forward to the reaction to this second single, encompassing classic country vibes and a modern pop-rock twist.

“Back Burner” focuses on a dead-end relationship, characterized by one person leading on another and continually neglecting them. The song ends on a high note where the girl eventually acknowledges the stale state of the relationship she’s in and brings it to an end. Todd successfully fuses modern musical arrangements with a songwriter’s touch for lyrical depth and literacy. The acoustic country instrumentation in “Back Burner’s” production is undoubtedly familiar to her listeners. Moreover, the modern rock and pop elements conceive a fresh, upbeat and rock-infused sound others will appreciate. Danielle will be hitting the road for a radio tour across Ontario and Atlantic Canada this October.
