Southbank Centre’s London Literature Festival is back uniting readers of all ages in celebrating the power of the written and spoken word. After receiving a Mercury Prize nomination for his latest album, “On Purpose, With Purpose,” iconic British rapper Ghetts will be joining the 2024 edition of the festival as a co-curator for the opening weekend. He will start with an electrifying live performance on the Royal Festival Hall stage on October 26th, followed by “Ghetts Presents: An Evening of Poetry and Music” on October 27th, where he will bring together a group of visionary writers and musicians to explore the relationship between their art forms.

The festival starts with Debut London Literature on October 23rd, an evening celebrating a variety of debut writers whose work draws inspiration from London. The festival continues with numerous events and discussions featuring renowned writers, poets, and thinkers. Recently announced events include Florence Given (pictured) discussing her new book “Women Living Deliciously” on October 27th, and Alan Hollinghurst presenting his new novel “Our Evenings” on October 25th, which offers a dark and moving portrayal of England. Additionally, the festival will feature several events tailored for children and families, such as “The Elmer Adventure” from October 30th to November 3rd, showcasing an enchanting performance with songs, storytelling, and puppetry by Tall Stories.
