Strength in Unity: Celebrating a Century of UK–Ukraine Partnership Through Art

London’s BobCat Gallery becomes a beacon of creativity and solidarity as it hosts “Strength in Unity,” a landmark exhibition showcasing the very best of contemporary Ukrainian art. Running from 21 to 28 October 2025, this powerful event honours the 100th anniversary of the UK–Ukraine Partnership Agreement, shining a spotlight on the enduring ties between the two nations.

Presented by Save Art in Ukraine in partnership with the Ukrainian Art House in London, “Strength in Unity” brings together leading voices from Ukraine’s vibrant art scene. The exhibition stands as both a celebration and a statement—demonstrating the transformative power of art as a tool for cultural diplomacy and resilience.

Ukrainian artists have long shaped the global art landscape, with visionaries like Sonia Delaunay, Ivan Marchuk, Alexandra Exter, and Kazimir Malevich leaving an indelible mark on modern and classical movements. Today’s artists, featured in this exhibition, carry that legacy forward—blending deep-rooted heritage with urgent contemporary narratives, and earning international acclaim along the way.

Curated by the Ukrainian Art House and produced by Yaroslave Bystrushkin, “Strength in Unity” offers visitors a diverse collection of works spanning abstract expressionism, mystic realism, figurative, and conceptual art. These pieces reflect not only the depth and innovation of Ukraine’s artistic heritage but also the resilience and hope that define the nation’s cultural identity. The featured artists have been recognised at major international platforms, including the London Art Biennale, Parallax Art Fair, Saatchi Gallery, and the Royal Academy’s Summer Exhibition. Their selection is a testament to artistic excellence, as well as the recognition and support of leading British and global curators, art professionals, and collectors.

Importantly, a share of the proceeds from the exhibition will go towards safeguarding Ukraine’s museums and art collections, ensuring that the nation’s cultural treasures are protected for generations to come.

“Strength in Unity” is a vibrant act of cultural dialogue and creative resistance, reinforcing the enduring partnership between the United Kingdom and Ukraine.
