Sedurre Couture LA is a fresh, unique, and cinematic video and photography boudoir experience created by fashion photographer Natalie Lytvak. Natalie basically took her fashion photography experience and applied that to the boudoir world. Sedurre is Italian for seduction – the art of attraction and desire. With the creation of Sedurre Couture LA, Lytvak breaks the barriers of traditional boudoir by crafting thematic, artistic and sensual short films and photographic diaries based on your own personal story and fantasies. Sedurre empowers women to confidently display and capture both your outer and inner beauty as well as your inner desires and imagination. The Sedurre experience is an artistic fusion of boudoir, fantasy, fashion, art and cinema tailored to be as unique as you.

Background

Natalie Lytvak has spent her life traveling the world – immersing herself in a multitude of cultures, art influences and fashion. While today she lives in Los Angeles, Natalie previously made her home in Kiev, London, Paris, Madrid, Tuscany, Negril, and Playa del Carmen. Natalie’s influences and inspiration cross the spectrum from Parisian fashion to ancient Mayan art having spent a significant amount of her career involved in fine art gallery curation and restoration. Natalie has always been inspired by fashion and began to visually capture her passion with a camera, when she moved to Los Angeles resulting in a significant portfolio of fashion photography over the past several years. Natalie’s history of experience in fine art and fashion brings couture to what has been traditionally called boudoir. Her vision, along with her partner Paul, is what makes Sedurre unique.

Your fashion photography and portrait business LYT Productions has been very successful. I love your runway photos. What made you want to create Sedurre? I know it is a more intimate concept and service. Also, how does Sedurre differ from LYT?

I think the female form is beautiful in of itself; and I had spent my career with LYT, focusing on those fashions which completely covered that form. Obviously my love for fashion drove my art and work with LYT, but then a part of me decided I would like to try and focus on the female herself, eliminating the layers that covered the female body.

LYT Productions is my photography and video business focused on runway, fashion, model portfolios, and model spotlights. Sedurre is focused on celebrating the beauty of the female form, with an element of fantasy.

What was your vision and inspiration in creating Sedurre and as it is growing, do you see your vision changing at all?

I had seen many other boudoir sites and I felt they looked all the same. On these sites, you typically see women in corsets lounging on a bed or in a chair by the window surrounded by flowers.  The themes are identical, the images seemingly interchangeable from site to site. I wanted to create something different. I wanted to take my experience in the fashion world and apply that to the boudoir world. The vision I have is to tell a story with the photos or the video, not simply paint a picture. With each session we have a discussion with the client about their fantasy or their desires and we then translate that into a pictorial diary or a video. Again, we are trying to create a vision of the fantasy and not simply take racy photos.

Additionally, we focus on combining seduction with glamour, and a bit of Noir. We wish to illustrate the ultimate power of a woman who is seductive, dark, confident, mysterious, sensual and in a beautiful setting that reflects her personality and mood.

What is a current Sedurre project you are working on at the moment and can you tell us a little about that?

My projects are my client’s fantasies. Each one is different and it is based on the story each of the women wish to portray about themselves.

Were you ever concerned about Sedurre being perceived as too provocative?

To whom? No, not at all. Sedurre is an exercise in empowerment for women; so possibly it could be too provocative for some that don’t celebrate a women’s right and need to express their sexuality and sensuality, but we are by no means taking our sexuality over the top. We believe implied is just as sexy as nude and tease is sexier than full exposure. We deliver our stories with style, class, beauty, and humor, so it is relatable to women.

Describe the process for the Sedurre client. I’m assuming they sit down with you and express their vision. How does the service that you offer take shape after the initial meeting?

It is a collaborative process. Before we even think of shooting options, locations, wardrobe, we need to understand the vision of the client. The first question we ask is who the audience is? For som,e they just wish to have the portfolio for themselves. For others, it is a present for their boyfriend, spouse, or lover. Sometimes we consult with the client and their significant other as this is something they wish together to define. We ask the client to bring samples of photos or art or concepts they like that are in line with their vision. From there, we begin to conceptualize the concept, the mood, the look and from there comes the specifics such as wardrobe, location, etc.,.

Sedurre offers both a photo diary and a cinematic service. Can you please explain the process for both?

It’s quite simple. The photo diary is just that, a portfolio of photographs taken of the client. The cinematic experience is in essence, a video diary. The process for both begins with an ideation session, where we understand what the client wishes to portray. We work together to create a story. We are not interested in simply taking racy photos or videos, rather we wish to use the medium to communicate the client’s desires, fantasies, and sensuality in her own vision. We help to take the raw ideas and craft those into a storyline that is delivered whether through photos or a video.

I would imagine this a fantastic gift that many girlfriends and wives fantasy fantasize about investing in for their boyfriend/husband.

Yes, many procure our services, with the end goal being a gift for their significant other. Others do this simply for themselves, they wish to celebrate their femininity, sensuality, sexuality, independence, or simply to paint a picture of what it means to be a woman for them.

Describe one of your favorite Sedurre moments

[Haha] We have had so many and have had so much fun. I think the finest moments are when the story comes together during the ideation session and the client’s eyes light up with a, “Yes! That’s me. That’s what I want to portray”. It’s always a great moment to share our client’s realization of the vision of themselves they can communicate.

How do you get clients to loosen up? I can envision many wanting to do this but comfort level is key.

The body of work speaks for itself and our clients see our work and realize we are delivering a high end product. We work in a way where we communicate the message of a strong, beautiful, and empowered woman. And when the clients realize that we are presenting them in this light, rather than simply a visual object, they identify with it. I believe they trust us to create a vision of them in the best light and trust is a huge element in all of this. We only shoot within a client’s comfort level and never try to push for more. We are here to service the client and respond to their desire and needs, not push for some standard vision of what is sexy or not.
