Daymé Arocena is musical prodigy. The Cuban vocalist started her career at the age of eight. She has been front-woman for the Cuba’s Los Primos band since she was 14. At the age of 24, she is set to release her second album in March 2017. Daymé Arocena has coined a new word “Cubafonía,” for its title. Rooting her compositions in the classic Cuban rhythms, she’s made an album encompassing the rich, diverse musical make-up of her home whilst always looking outward – to the world she has spent the last two years traveling – representing her music, and her nation.
Here’s the first single off of the new album. Listen to the track and catch Daymé Arocena on her European tour this month, dates are listed beneath.
