On Friday, March 21 at 7:30 pm, The Lincoln Center presents ¡VAYA! – Ariacne and Her Orchestra in the David Rubenstein Atrium. GRAMMY nominee Ariacne Trujillo and her orchestra celebrate the release of her latest album, “Legacy.” Ariacne is one of New York’s music scene’s most innovative pianists, vocalists, composers, and arrangers.
At just 18, she was already a lead singer and pianist at the iconic Cabaret Tropicana. Since then, she has crafted an impressive career, performing alongside legends like Paul Simon, Paquito D. Rivera, and Wynton Marsalis. Her piano virtuosity, powerful and versatile voice, and original compositions, infused with the musical influences of her native Havana, Cuba, make her a prominent figure in Afro-Cuban Latin jazz, striking a perfect balance between elegance and intensity.
