Urban Legends Come to Life: “Pig Hill” Premieres at FrightFest

Empty Jug Productions, in association with Concourse Media, is thrilled to announce the World Premiere of their chilling new horror feature, Pig Hill, at this year’s FrightFest on August 23rd.

Adapted from the novel by Nancy Williams and helmed by acclaimed director Kevin Lewis—best known for the cult hit Willy’s Wonderland—Pig Hill promises to be a standout on the horror calendar. The film boasts a stellar cast, with Rainey Qualley (Shut In) leading as Carrie, supported by Shane West (Salem) and Shiloh Fernandez (Evil Dead).

Filmed on location in Meadville, Pennsylvania—the birthplace of the real urban legend—Pig Hill plunges viewers into the heart of small-town terror. The story follows Carrie, a woman tormented by a string of mysterious disappearances. As she delves deeper, she’s drawn into the eerie folklore of the “pig people,” uncovering a horrifying truth buried beneath generations of myth. Joined by her friend Andy (West) and her brother Chris (Fernandez), Carrie’s quest for answers soon spirals into a fight for survival against forces both human and inhuman.

Concourse Media is handling worldwide rights and will be presenting the film to domestic distributors in tandem with the FrightFest debut.
