Ann Wolfe as Artemis in Wonder Woman

We had reviewed the Patty Jenkins directed Wonder Woman film around the time it debuted, with an over a 100 million opening. What made it stick out from other superhero films is that it had so much heart put into it. Not only in just the story, but behind the scenes as well. One of the people who contributed to that heart is retired boxer Ann Wolfe who played the role of Artemis in the film. For those not familiar with the boxing world, Ann is an eight-time world champion boxer, with four titles in four different weight classes, with a 24-1 record. A fan of boxing herself, director Patty Jenkins had actually requested Ann audition for the role personally. I had the pleasure of interviewing Ann over the phone, and she gave some insight on not only her experience on set but her personal philosophy which has got her so far in life.

I never finished college, but talking to Ann was like hearing the best valedictorian speech ever. The things she has learned, and been rewarded with through her hard work and sacrifices is something that can inspire the world. A real life Wonder Woman whose heart and humility many should take notes from.
