Darius Martin was born in El Paso, Texas, and spent his childhood in Alamogordo, New Mexico. The vastness of the desert influenced him during his upbringing. During his teenage years, he was an active and serious athlete, but fate had something else in store for him. A serious illness sidelined him, and he discovered his new passion for music. Influenced by music legends like Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, and Marvin Gaye, he began experimenting with different sounds and genres to achieve a timeless and fresh sound. Later, he attended the prestigious Los Angeles Film Institute, where he graduated in 2020. This experience further reinforced his passion and ambition to pursue a career in music. He developed his skills during his time at the institute and began recording music professionally.

In 2023, Darius Martin continued to expand his sonic palette and artistry with inventive new releases, captivating a rapidly growing fanbase of avid listeners with his dynamic fusion of genres and masterful lyrical storytelling. His recent release “Like We Used To Before” captures the magic of being in love as Martin muses on the importance of the present.
