Shantell Ogden: Nashville’s Storyteller Spreading Holiday Cheer

Shantell Ogden is a name synonymous with heartfelt songwriting and the spirit of Nashville. An award-winning singer-songwriter, Shantell’s music has resonated far beyond Tennessee, earning global recognition and airplay on country and Americana radio stations across the world. Her songs have climbed charts in both the US and Europe, with her acclaimed single “Blossom in the Dust” soaring to #2, just behind Chris Stapleton—a testament to her powerful presence in the genre.

Shantell’s music videos have found a home on major television networks, including Heartland, The Country Network, The Family Channel, and Faith and Family Network, bringing her stories to living rooms everywhere. Known for her dynamic stage presence, she’s graced the lineups of renowned festivals like Americana Fest, CMA Fest, and Tin Pan South, and has shared the stage with country legends such as Sawyer Brown, Collin Raye, Sammy Kershaw, and Aaron Tippin.

Demonstrating her versatility, Shantell is also the writer and executive producer behind the holiday film “Music City Mistletoe.” The project features 18 original songs—each co-written by Shantell and some of Nashville’s top songwriters—infusing the film with the authentic sound and soul of Music City. The title track, rooted in traditional country with organic, fiddle-driven production, radiates festive energy and nostalgia, making it an instant seasonal classic.

Reflecting on the song’s creation, Shantell shares, “To write the title track I partnered with two friends and amazing songwriters, Victoria Venier and Bill Whyte. The song paints a picture of what makes Music City so special at Christmas. It’s got a toe-tapping rhythm and twanging fiddle for that homespun holiday feel. Who wouldn’t want to meet up in the ‘kissing zone’ in Nashville at Christmas?”
