At the heart of RUFUS is a gripping narrative: Rufus, a man in the hood, spins five disturbing tales for his family and friends—against his wife’s wishes. These stories traverse a mortician’s fateful night, a singer’s discovery of corruption, the unsettling future of adoption, chilling medical malpractice, and the haunting cost of war. The film features a dynamic cast including Freeway Ricky Ross, David J, Debra Haden, Rah Digga, Jim Sclavunos, Spookey Ruben, Monique Parent, Verona Blue, and Jennifer Drake.

Director Mars Roberge reflects on the project’s journey, saying, “CEO Richard Wolff got my film from the start and shares a lot of my aesthetics—two East Coasters from punk music backgrounds. I did my homework and, after Deborah Twiss told me she still considers BGP family since 1997, that sealed the deal.”
