Los Angeles–based singer-songwriter Chloé Caroline and Australian-born pop artist Jordan Anthony first connected in 2022 at a music industry conference in LA, bonding over shared roots, musical families, and a mutual love of emotionally driven pop songwriting. Though their individual artistry sits in slightly different tonal worlds, Chloé Caroline’s luminous, delicate warmth and Jordan Anthony’s powerhouse, soul-charged delivery, the pair immediately recognized the cinematic balance their voices could create together.
Their debut collaboration, “Existing,” was written across continents during a Zoom session, Chloé Caroline in Los Angeles and Jordan Anthony in Australia, after Chloé brought in a line her partner had spontaneously said: “I love living in a world where you’re existing.” Within minutes, Jordan began building the piano foundation, and the song quickly unfolded into a sweeping duet about the rare miracle of sharing life at the same time as the people we love.
Blending intimate storytelling with arena-scale emotion, “Existing” reflects both artists’ core songwriting values, Jordan Anthony’s commitment to truthful, story-led pop, and Chloé Caroline’s deeply reflective, connection-focused lyricism. The track expands beyond romance into a universal message of gratitude for partners, friends, family, and soul-level bonds of all kinds.
The song was later recorded in Los Angeles with producer Mikeldi Murguia, whose cinematic pop sensibility helped translate the raw piano demo into a timeless, modern duet. Violin by Vito Gutilla adds organic lift to the track’s emotional arc. Chloé Caroline and Jordan Anthony first performed “Existing” live at LA’s Hotel Café in 2025, where the performance moved KOST 103.5’s Ryan Manno to invite them for a live iHeartRadio session and interview.
“Existing” comes at a crucial moment for both artists. For Chloé Caroline, it marks the beginning of her release cycle for 2026, leading up to her upcoming album, Awakened. Meanwhile, for Jordan Anthony, it serves as the final standalone single before he launches his debut EP, which will document his early years of pursuing music full-time in the United States.
To celebrate the release, the duo announced on Instagram that one lucky couple will have the chance to have them perform at their wedding in LA.
