I had an opportunity to catch up with actress Debbie Sherman to discuss her role in her first feature-length film, starring James Franco, Taryn Manning, and Francesca Eastwood. It releases September 1, 2017. Debbie is a phenomenal actress, travelista, entrepreneur, and activist. She’s currently starring in her first feature-length film, with a powerhouse cast. I’m so excited to share with you the interview with Debbie, as she discusses the highly-anticipated movie “The Vault.” Check your local listings. The interview is below.

Hi, Debbie! Congrats on your first feature film! We are excited for “The Vault”. Could you share some teasers about the film?

Thanks so much! My first film, wow! I’m so excited that it is finally coming to theaters. I filmed this in June of 2016. As for teasers, come on, you don’t want me to ruin it, do you? I will say this film is the perfect blend of horror and thriller. There are surprises and twists and turns at every corner. The Vault takes place in a bank that seems like any other bank, but, spoiler alert, it is no ordinary bank.

You are in the film with an awesome cast, such as James Franco, Taryn Manning, and Francesca Eastwood. You play Lauren. What can you tell us about your character and role?

There are some truly talented actors in this film! As you noted, James Franco, Taryn Manning, Francesca Eastwood and Jeff Gum really knock it out of the park in this film. I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to be in the film with such talents. When I was filming, Taryn and Francesca were on set and they are such fun ladies! They were so welcoming to me and I really enjoyed each of them. This was my first role in a film, so I was happy to be welcomed so warmly as I was nervous. My character’s name is Lauren. Funny fact, my middle name is Lauren, so I already felt in tune with my character. I’m excited for people to get to see all of the different characters in this film.

What should the audience expect?

The audience can expect an edge of your seat thriller. Don’t blink because you might miss one of the many twists and turns this film has to offer. Each character unfolds over the length of the movie as you learn what motivates each of their actions. Nothing in this film is expected, so hold on, you are in for a wild ride.

Are you doing your own stunt work in the film?

In this film, it was all me. It’s a pretty intense scene. The whole scene was very extreme for everyone that was filming. It really is something that hasn’t been done before.

Where can people watch it?

You can see The Vault in select theaters nationwide. It opens on September 1st in the US and September 8th in the UK. Go see it guys!

Thank you for chatting with us about the film. Is there anything else you would like to add that we didn’t cover?

Landing my first role ever in this film was a dream! There are such awesome actors in this film and getting to be in a movie with them was amazing! I can’t wait to see it in theaters with the audience. I think it will be quite surreal to see myself on the big screen. This was the first character I every portrayed on film and while it may be a small part, you’ve got to start somewhere!
