Thank you for granting the interview, Kevin! Congrats on playing Blaze in “Future Man.” This is a highly-anticipated series. Tell us about your role and character.

Thanks for having me and letting me share! “Future Man” is a wild time-traveling adventure to try and save mankind. I play the role of Blaze, who is best friends with Wolf (played by Derek Wilson), a soldier from the future- in the 80s. We get really close and possibly cross some lines that may surprise viewers!!

Will you be doing your own stunt work?

I am a trained stuntman and typically do my own fighting and stunts. But I had a few doubles in this production to help me out on a few things to make it look it’s best. I offered to do everything but sometimes it’s not my call. I did do all my volleyball scenes. Haha.

What can viewers expect from “Future Man?”

Viewers can expect to see something they have never seen before. When time travel meets genius comedic minds, anything is possible. Every episode hits on different cultural events from history as well as movie references that will make viewers feel nostalgic. A fun roller coaster ride that never lets up.

You also have a recurring role in season 5 of OWN series “The Haves and the Have Nots.” You’re playing Leo. Tell us about your role and character.

Leo is a hired private security guard that gets put right in the middle of the Cryer family drama. That family has real issues that get even worse in season 5.

You’re also a Marine Corps veteran. Thank you for your service! Did your experience and training prepare you for the rigors of acting?

Thank you from me and all the other service members. We really appreciate being recognized. It’s amazing how similar the military and acting are. Both are careers that you train year round for something that may never happen for real. They also are fields that you can not do alone and have to rely on your peers and be a good teammate. Hours are long and you are not done until the job is complete. Nothing about entertainment or military careers resemble a 9-5, they are more of a 24/7. It’s certainly not for everybody but I much prefer it to the alternative.

You have a busy schedule. There are several films in various stages of production. Which one can you share with us?

Since we are approaching the holiday’s, I will mention “Ugly Sweater Party”. It’s a Christmas comedy horror film by writer/director Aaron Mento that is coming soon. Much like “Future Man”, it is an unpredictable crazy ride that will leave everybody wanting more. For any action movie fans, I was an actor and the weapons coordinator on “Escape From Ensenada”, which just won “Best Action Film” at the HBO and Cinemax Action Showcase.

What do you like to do when you’re not acting?

I try to get outdoors and go play in the woods or climb mountains every chance I get. I also workout probably more than I should but as a stuntman and fitness model, I have to stay strong to have a long career. I compete in physique competitions including winning first place at the “Muscle Beach International Classic” in 2016.

Is there anything you would like to add that we haven’t asked?

I hope everybody checks out “Future Man” available now on Hulu and it is from producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg and writers Ariel Shaffir and Kyle Hunter. It will not disappoint. I have always been a huge film nerd and feel incredibly fortunate and blessed to work with people I am genuinely a fan of.
