Lee Pace Saving Mangroves

Actor Lee Pace has always been one to help others, such as Kiva.org and Conservation International. When he’s not starring in a film, television series, or Broadway play, he spends his time helping to preserve nature and its wildlife. An avid conservationist, Lee enjoys sharing his discoveries with his fans via his Instagram feed. Lee recently joined Conservation.org in Costa Rica to survey the forest land.

Lee Grinner Pace was born March 25, 1979, in Chickasha, Oklahoma.  He recently starred in the cult hit, television series AMC’s Halt and Catch Fire, where he played protagonist Joe MacMillan. He’s best known for playing Calpernia, a transgendered woman, in A Soldier’s Story and Roy Walker/the Masked Bandit in the 2006 film The Fall. Lee also appeared in other high-profile films, such as, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, The Hobbit trilogy, Guardians of the Galaxy, and was a lead in television series, Wonderfalls and Pushing Daisies, created by Brian Fuller. Soon you will see him star in The Party’s Just Beginning as Dale and Driven as John DeLorean.

His fan club, Lee Pace Italy, has created a special project to honor Lee’s conservation efforts. Check out their special message below.

“Inspired by the work of actor Lee Pace with Conservation International Foundation, we have decided to support them by raising money to protect the forests. Forests are the ‘Lungs of the Earth’: as the Earth is something ‘we’ all share, if we protect the forests, we also protect the planet and all living creatures inhabiting it, ‘us’ included. Thanking you in advance for any money you will help us raise towards protecting acres of forests, please help us to spread the word and share this page far and wide before the fundraising is over on Earth’s Day (22/04/2018).”

Lee had this to say about his recent trip to Costa Rico with Conservation International, “Costa Rica is at the forefront of the global effort to slow climate change by protecting forests and mangroves instead of destroying them. Coastal mangrove forests store more carbon than any other forests on earth, making them crucial in the fight against climate change.” (Source: Lee Pace Instagram)

So, join in the fight to protect the Earth against climate change. We’re already witnessing the disastrous effects of climate change worldwide, with an increased number of hurricanes and earthquakes taking thousands of lives. If you care about our planet and want to help, you can start by joining Lee Pace Italy in their efforts to raise conservation funds.

You can catch up on Lee Pace’s films and television series appearances via DVD Netflix. There you can rent all of the ones he starred in. I recommend a Halt and Catch Fire marathon. If you’re a nerd/geek, like me, then you will find this a treat! It was one of the best series on television. I highly recommend you check out the rentals in the list.
