Drawing on musical influences from pop, rock, hip hop, and folk music, Almost Owen’s performances have lit up stages across the world, including events for the United Nations Correspondents’ Association and the Human Rights Campaign in the US.

Independent recording artist and producer Almost Owen announces the release of his new rock and hip-hop-infused pop single 2020 Heartbreak This rowdy no hugs given earworm is available worldwide from today.

Almost Owen describes 2020 Heartbreak as “a high key f*ck you to the totally batshit year that was 2020”. Featuring one of Almost Owen’s most aggressive and outrageous vocal performances yet, he sings a humorous eulogy for an awful epoch. The track is both explosive and euphoric, falling somewhere between what one might expect from Machine Gun Kelly and Post Malone. 2020 Heartbreak is ultimately about resilience in the face of so much American carnage, and the dubious hope that the years to come will be better.

2020 Heartbreak is Almost Owen’s first commercial release of 2021, kicking off a series of songs to be released in the coming months. It follows a string of critically acclaimed releases that garnered millions of streams across streaming platforms, as well as support from IHeartRadio syndicates.
