Hi, Sarah! Thank you for granting the interview. Congrats on your role in BRATS “BOSS CHEER.” Tell us about character.
Thank you! Yes, I play Charlotte on the show. She is the head cheerleader with a type A personality. She is the girl you love to hate! She is a perfectionist excepts nothing but the best.
Tell us what inspired you to act?
I think what first inspired me to act was my love for entertaining. I have been performing in dance since the age of 5 and being on stage is something I absolutely love!
What do you love most about your career?
I think what I love most about my career is having the opportunity to play different characters. Whether it’s behind the camera or on stage there is something extraordinary about transforming into someone else.
What direction do you see your career going in?
Of course, I would love to continue acting and dancing. It’s my passion! However, I would also love to direct my own movie one day. I am currently writing a screenplay that I really excited about!
What are you most passionate about?
I believe a passion should consume all of your heart and soul. I would say dance is that for me. Dance has been my everything for as long as I can remember. It can be my escape, my happy place and really what has made me the person I am today.
What do you enjoy most about the film industry?
I think what I love most about the film industry is knowing what goes into making a movie or show from start to finish. It is crazy what happens behind the scenes to make something come alive on screen! It is the most incredible thing to see the transformation from actual filming to seeing the final product. It’s truly fascinating!
What is going to surprise people about your acting skills?
I think because of my looks people would more than likely see me playing a cheerleader type, the girl next door character. However, I love playing darker type characters. It’s kind of fun being the bad guy! haha
Without giving anything away, what’s coming up?
I have some things in works that I hopefully get to share soon!
When looking back on the start of your career, what resonates with you the most and why?
The thing that resonates with me the most is something I was taught early on in dance. It is so great to follow your dreams. However, it’s not enough to just dream. Work really really hard and learn to accept rejection the same way you learn to accept the successes. The entertainment world is tough! But never give up if it’s truly your passion!
In your opinion, what makes entertaining outstanding?
Entertaining people is my job! It’s like any other job I guess. Knowing you do it right, make a good impression or inspire is so satisfying!
Is their role you would love to play in your career?
Yes! I would love to play a role in a mystery type show or movie. I would love to play a dark character with lots of secrets and mystery!
Do you have anything else you would like to share about the movie?
We just finished our first season of Boss Cheer! I absolutely love the cast and crew! You can catch all the episodes on Brat network. You will absolutely love the show.
