Dave Lenahan has the kind of musical history that doesn’t need to shout to be felt. A Nashville-based singer-songwriter with deep roots in Cleveland’s golden era of rock, Lenahan has spent years shaping a sound that lives comfortably between Cleveland rock grit and the open-road warmth of Americana—music built for people who still believe a great song should tell the truth.

Raised in Cleveland, Ohio, he grew up influenced by artists who understood melody and meaning in equal measure, including Michael Stanley, Dan Fogelberg, and The Eagles. He picked up the guitar at age eleven, then sharpened his instincts in church choirs and worship bands, learning early how to serve a lyric and let emotion lead. Before fully stepping into songwriting, Lenahan spent four decades in radio—time that gave him a front-row seat to what makes songs endure, and what makes listeners come back again and again.

Today, he brings that experience into every line he writes. As the Cincinnati coordinator for the Nashville Songwriters Association International, Lenahan has co-written hundreds of songs and built a reputation inside the songwriting community for craft, consistency, and heart. He has also shared stages with indie and Americana artists at iconic Nashville rooms such as the Bluebird Café and the Listening Room—spaces where the song is the star, and where authenticity is the only currency that matters.
