DREW GORDON is 5 years old. She is a triple threat (singing, dancing and acting) and she just completed the feature film Ice Cream In The Cupboard where she stars alongside Jaime King and Dan Ashbrook. Drew has a passion for filming videos and is known by the makeup community as a “mini makeup artist”. She has recently been featured in HARPER’S BAZAAR AND SEVENTEEN as a top “kid” makeup guru. Some of her makeup videos have gone viral on YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram with over 6 million views each. Drew loves to give back to the community and is a Youth Ambassador for the Jonathan Foundation, which helps kids with special needs.
Hi, Drew! It is a pleasure to speak with you. Thank you for granting the interview. You are in a feature film called “Ice Cream In The Cupboard”. You star alongside Jamie King and Dan Ashbrook. Tell us more about the films’ premise plus your character and role.
I play the role of the young Lydia, Carmen’s daughter. Carmen eventually starts to develop Alzheimer’s and her husband helps her by showing her memories of their life together.
You are also known as the “mini makeup artist”. You have recently been featured in Harper’s Bazaar and Seventeen as a top “kid” makeup guru. Some of your makeup videos have gone viral. What do you love about makeup?
I love everything about makeup! My favorite is lipstick and mascara but I also like doing different color eyeshadow looks.
What do you enjoy most about acting?
I like being able to be different people. I got a script the other day that had me scream and act badly on an airplane and I would NEVER be able to do that in real life, so it’s fun to pretend to be other people.
Did you always want to be an actor?
I never knew exactly what I wanted to be, I’ve been in this since I was really little. I also dream of being a dancer too.
You’re also the Youth Ambassador for the Jonathan Foundation, which helps kids with special needs. Tell us more.
This meant a lot to me. My brother, Talon, has autism. I would like any opportunity to advocate and help others with special needs.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I really like dancing, playing on my iPad, especially Roblox. I love playing with makeup, my siblings, and shopping!
If you could star in the next Marvel or DC movie, what superhero would you like to play and why?
I LOVE superheroes! I was Poison Ivy a year ago for Halloween so I would probably be her but I also love Starfire! I just love the way they look and love their superpowers! Starfire is a supermodel and throws starbolts!
Are there any projects you would like to add that we haven’t mentioned?
Not yet!
