We had the amazing opportunity to interview Oliver. Check out the interview below.

Hi, Oliver! You have an amazing portfolio. As a host, you covered the official red carpet for the American Music Awards, including some of the top celebrities and musicians in the industry. You’re also an actor and have appeared in hot shows, such as Leverage, The Good Guys, and The Forgotten. Which do you prefer to do?

I truly love both. As a host, I get to completely be myself and meet so many different people and as an actor, I get to play someone else – I enjoy the challenges that come with that, but all, in all it’s a really nice balance of work!

What inspired you to become a host?

To be honest – it was never part of my plan!! I was professionally trained as an actor and dancer growing up and had worked a lot in that realm and then one day someone asked me to jump on a red carpet and interview people and it’s been non-stop ever since!

What has been your favorite productions to date?

I just launched my own media company called “Future Identity Media” with my good friend Sean Krajewski and we already have a couple of projects moving forward with Skip Woods – writer of A Good Day to Die Hard and X-Men Origins: Wolverine – and have also partnered up with Anonymous Content who are huge in that field so I’m excited to see what’s to come this year behind the camera as a producer.

You continuously hone your craft. What keeps you inspired?

Because I love what I do so much; it keeps me inspired to always improve and work!

Thus far, what has been the best experience working in the industry?

Joyride was one of my favorite shows to host; mainly because every day was just complete fun and working alongside T-Pain was just non-stop laughs! As an actor I loved The Good Guys – Colin Hanks and Bradley Whitford were brilliant to be on set in every way and it was a great experience. Also, as far as the teams behind the camera, I’ve been fortunate to work with so many great people.

Do you have any upcoming projects that we haven’t mentioned?

I’m hosting a new show called In Studio with The Hollywood Reporter and also producing a couple of shows with Awesomeness TV, as well as a music documentary called Silence. Away from work, I’ve been heavily involved the last 8-years as the ambassador for the organization Not for Sale in its fight against human trafficking around the world. It’s something I’m very passionate about and continuously fight to make a difference. We work all around the world and I’m regularly back and forth to our NFS shelter in Thailand.

Complete this sentence, if I had an opportunity to do anything I want, I would do ___________.

I’d love to host a big award show, like the Golden Globes or the Grammys at some point, as well as win some awards for some of the projects I’m involved in; be it producing or otherwise. I want to keep growing as a person – Hollywood’s tough and there’ve definitely been some ups and downs. I’d like to get better at staying in the present moment and keeping true to myself; to continue helping others and using my platform as a voice. And if I can ultimately do anything, I’d love to get on one of those space shuttles when they’ve ironed out the kinks and take a trip to space!
