Hush is an exciting collaboration between singer/songwriter Jessica Deutsch of the Toronto chamber-folk group Ozere, and multi-instrumentalist music producer Tyler Emond, who performs under the moniker Tennis Partner. They forge dynamic and ethereal electro-art-pop statements that fuse each artists’ utmost talents. They’re excited to share their new single “Land Waves” and the official video. Reflecting on the origins of the track Tyler Emond shares, ‘We were visiting friends who live on a rural plot of land next to a lake; found an old guitar in their shed and this great moody melody just rose up out of Jessica’.
The duo had just finished touring along the west coast, and so their thoughts were full of images of large water bodies. Something about that vastness and the possibility of what could be on the other side was intriguing. Eventually, that image grew to include some landmass off in the distance; one you know is there but so hard to make out clearly, giving it an alluring quality.
Hush is available on all platforms and we can look forward to their debut EP, Pull the Sky, in fall 2021.
