Misha is a Finnish producer and artist known for a genre-blending sound that moves between beat music, R&B, hip-hop, and nu-funk. Rooted in hip-hop culture and shaped by soulful, jazz-influenced harmony, his music is marked by rich textures, strong chord progressions, and immersive atmospheres.
He emerged from Finland’s hip-hop scene and began writing, producing, and performing at a young age. Early on, he independently released self-made projects on CD and early online platforms, while performing both locally and internationally. His musical background includes singing in a children’s choir and learning piano and clarinet, elements that continue to inform his melodic approach and layered production.
A key step in his development came during his Hip-Hop studies at McNally Smith College of Music in Minnesota, where he committed fully to his path as an artist. In 2018, he released his first instrumental project under the Misha name, “Feel,” via Chillhop Music, which quickly gained attention.
Since then, Misha has worked with a range of internationally recognised artists, including GRAMMY-winning Lalah Hathaway, Nate Smith, Talib Kweli, and Amber Navran of Moonchild.
Misha’s new release, Dreamwaves, arrives on October 16. He describes it as a form of escape, healing, and recalibration in a world that feels increasingly heavy and chaotic. The project is presented as an immersive listening experience, designed as a journey toward higher vibrations, emotional release, and personal movement, both sonically and spiritually.
“If my music can encourage someone to trust themselves more, embrace who they are, and turn their passion into a lifestyle or purpose, then that means everything to me,” Misha says. “I want the music to remind people that growth comes through movement, and that sometimes the biggest transformation begins when you finally allow yourself to follow what truly moves you.
