O'Phantom- Featured artist on Occhi Magazine

Based in Yorkshire, England, O’Phantom arrives with the kind of restless energy that feels born from late-night rehearsal rooms and the glow of small-stage lights—hazy guitars colliding with electronic textures and melodic songwriting that nods to shoegaze, indie rock, and post-punk without ever getting stuck in tribute. Emerging from Hull’s independent music scene, the band has stayed rooted in the city’s grassroots community, working alongside local venues, promoters, and artists—and not just as participants, but as builders too, with members also running Hull venue Polar Bear Music Club.

That hands-on spirit has made O’Phantom a familiar name on the UK live circuit, sharing stages with Westside Cowboy, Humour, and Gurriers, and earning an invite to perform at The Great Escape Festival in 2025. Now, with a set at Truck Festival 2026 on the horizon, they’re unveiling new material from their forthcoming EP Remorse, due October 2026.

The band’s latest track, “Speak To Me,” spins a whirl of garage-rock guitars around a playful Moog pulse, pairing bright, driving hooks with a darker emotional undercurrent: the strain of staying connected to the people you love while fighting battles inside your own head. It’s a song that captures that specific push-and-pull—wanting to reach out, be present, hold things together—while anxiety and self-doubt tug you in the opposite direction. Written and performed by Daniel Mawer, Rose Barker, Rowan Foster, Tom Green-Morgan, Jamie Collins, and Daniel Griffin, the track is produced by Matt Peel at The Nave Studio, then mastered by Felix Davis at Metropolis Studio.
