Los Angeles – Mirrortree Productions and Mighty Pharaoh Films announce the premiere of the female-lead adventure/thriller At Your Own Risk, screening at the Artemis ‘Women in Action’ Film Festival in Santa Monica, CA April 26th to 29th 2018.
In his fourth feature film, director John K.D. Graham (Home Sweet Home, Wish For Christmas), returns to his New Mexico filmmaking roots for At Your Own Risk.
This story of adventure-gone-wrong delivers an impressive ride full of twists and turns. With breathtaking cinematography from Richard Galli (Home Sweet Home, Catching Faith) and compelling performances from lead actresses Alexandra Boylan (Bellflower, Catching Faith) and Helenna Santos (American Reunion, LA Macabre),
The plot of At Your Own Risk is as follows:
“Two career driven women are hired to test out a unique treasure hunt deep in the New Mexico desert. Their exciting adventure takes a drastic turn as friendship is tested and survival is pushed to the limit, and before long they realize that not everything is as it seems.”
As Santos states, “In today’s environment At Your Own Risk is wildly original and taps into an under-served female demographic that is desperate for movies that accurately reflect who we really are.”
“It’s also not every day that you see a movie with such stellar production value, shot mostly with a small four-person team.” Boylan adds. “Filming At Your Own Risk felt like we were pushing our own boundaries as filmmakers.”
In addition to Helenna Santos and Alexandra Boylan, At Your Own Risk also stars Jeff Schroeder (CBS’ Big Brother). The film was written by Andrew Boylan (Home Sweet Home) and edited by Longlost Pictures’ Lex Benedict (Hell’s Kitchen, Muted).
At Your Own Risk is expected to release on VOD late spring/early summer of 2018.
