Kill Them With ColourToronto, ON (June 1, 2018) – Celebrating the return of summer with a new uplifting, beach-ready track, Juno Award-nominated producer and DJ Wesley Marsh, the artist behind the moniker Kill Them With Colour (KTWC), is thrilled to release his latest futuristic single “Coastal” featuring singer-songwriter Lilianna Wilde. In addition to this feature, Lilianna has also worked on a handful of tracks, garnering millions of collective views and spins on Youtube and Soundcloud respectively. The new easy listening single comes ahead of KTWC’s highly anticipated EP of the same title, which is slated for release on July 13. The Toronto-based artist has garnered a large fanbase for his remixes of popular songs of artists including Marian Hill, ZHU, Kendrick Lamar, Lana Del Ray, and more, earning a combined 30 million views and listens on Spotify, YouTube, and Soundcloud. His previous single “Always Somethin” also received great online attention, reaching #1 on the popular music blog Hype Machine.

Kill Them Colour’s new single “Coastal” is available across major music platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play, Tidal and more.

The single “Coastal” is a storytelling of two people living on opposite coasts but stuck in an in-between place in their relationship. Illustrating themes of love and longing for their significant other, this tropical hit is just a small taste of what’s to come from KTWC’s upcoming EP. Featuring a similar chill and wavy aesthetic, his new EP promises to be the perfect soundtrack to summer, guaranteed to melt away the remnants of winters past.

“The single ‘Coastal’ is a feel-good summer jam. It has a fun, futuristic dance sound that I think a lot of listeners will gravitate towards, especially as the temperatures get warmer,” says producer and DJ, Wesley Marsh of Kill Them With Colour. “I want to bring the heat and sandy beaches to people’s ears and get music fans excited for summer.”

In 2017, KTWC was approached by singer-songwriter Kapri to produce her single “Deeper” which went #1 on Spotify, later earning him a 2018 Juno Award nomination for “Dance Recording Of The Year”. The two will be reuniting again on stage on June 22 for Pride Toronto 2018’s opening party at Yonge-Dundas Square. The two will be opening the show, with KTWC working as Kapri’s backing DJ, followed by the headliner Brandy. Now heading into summer with a brand new single, KTWC looks forward taking the momentum he’s garnered so far and taking it to new heights.

Kill Them With ColourBest known for his genre-bending dance sound, KTWC’s music has received praise for his multidimensional tracks from notable music media including Dancing Astronaut, Thump, Hilly Dilly and more, further cementing him as one of the top remixers in the evolving electronic music scene. He’s also received support from his peers and top-tier DJs including Pete Tong, The Chainsmokers, and Chase & Status. When it comes to taking his music to the stage, KTWC has also played alongside some of the most respected artists such as Adventure Club, Diplo, Cashmere Cat, Rudimental, Saymyname, Keys & Krates and many more.

Music has always been the driving creative force in KTWC’s life. As a child, growing up in France and Trinidad, he was deeply influenced by Deep Forest, Dancehall, and Reggae music. After moving to Canada and studying music, his musical taste buds evolved to electronic music and later matured into its present-day free-form genre that it’s best known for today. Much like the innovative music he creates, “Kill Them With Colour” is a term inspired by his childhood, a saying his mother (a visual artist and fashion designer) used to say to describe art and how a little bit of love and colour, could make anything stand out even more. This is how KTWC has approached his music to date. While he proudly describes his genre as “unclassifiable”, the term ‘Kill Them With Colour” describes his style best. KTWC has mastered the art of intertwining multiple genres to produce songs — each one carrying a life and personality of its own. Much like the spectrum of colour, KTWC has created his own palette of sound, tapping into unexplored sub-genres of music and further cementing himself as an artist to watch.
