With a catchy beat and powerful message, Sophia Treadway’s new single “Not That Into You” is already seeing great traction across Spotify and pop fans.  The meaning of the song and its message is clear –  even if you like someone they still need to prove that there good enough to be with you. Looks aren’t enough. Both this single and her previous track ” Beside Me” are all about self worth and making sure you have the right people around you. It is okay to be picky because you are worth it.

Sophia‘s music has a heavy pop vibe because growing up she was heavily influenced by Hannah Montana and credits the show as being one of the leading factors in getting started with writing original music to express herself. It is important for Sophia to always be a positive role model for her fans, and remind them they are strong with or without someone. She developed an interest in singing at the early age of 3,  after her mom took her to a Hannah Montana concert. So inspired, she would sing for her family every day and, by the age of 5,  she auditioned for a talent show singing Adele’s “Rolling In The Deep” which blew the judges away. After seeing Sophia‘s potential on full display her family enlisted the expertise of Bob Westbrook a prominent vocal instructor in the area to help Sophia hone her skills.

In 2013, she began to perform at various events in the area including an introduction at the Delta Fair. In 2014, Sophia and the family decided to take the next step and enter her into a national competition called IPOP. There Sophia blossomed even further as she walked away with the first-place prize for her age group. Her performance caught the attention of platinum music producer Marc Williams of Indasoul Entertainment. Marc encouraged Sophia and the family to embark on a project and record original material for Sophia.
Sophia Treadway released her original pop anthem “Beside Me late last year. While the inspiration for the song came from Sophia‘s personal experience, sometimes we could all use a reminder that we are okay getting rid of the toxic people in our lives and we will be completely okay on our own. She wanted to release this song while everyone starts to head back to school because there is always so much pressure to feel like you need to be dating someone, or part of a certain group of people, and it is easy to lose track of who you really are in that process. Instead, focus on yourself and you will attract the right people when the time is right.
