Kingston -World Premiere – U.S. Narrative Competition

The Tribeca Festival, presented by OKX, returns to New York City for a landmark moment: its 25th anniversary. Taking place from June 3 to 14, 2026, the festival once again transforms the city into a vibrant celebration of storytelling across film, television, music, podcasts, games, and immersive experiences. With its deep roots in independent cinema, Tribeca has become synonymous with bold creative expression, spotlighting emerging voices while welcoming established talent. The festival curates premieres, exhibitions, conversations, and live performances that keep culture moving forward.

Founded in 2001 by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal, and Craig Hatkoff to help revitalize Lower Manhattan after the World Trade Center attacks, the festival has evolved into a global platform where art and audiences meet in real time. In 2019, a new era began when James Murdoch’s Lupa Systems acquired a majority stake in Tribeca Enterprises, joining Rosenthal and De Niro in expanding the festival’s reach while staying true to its original mission: championing stories that matter.

Caity (World Premiere) — Written and directed by Lindsay Calleran and starring Chiara Aurelia and Morgan Spector, “Caity” is a raw, intimate coming-of-age drama set in a locally beloved haunted house that also serves as a family business and an emotional pressure cooker. Sixteen-year-old Caity works alongside her newly sober father, Paul, managing their haunted attraction with the fragile hope of rebuilding stability. However, when Paul relapses, Caity is forced into crisis-management mode, covering for him while quietly unraveling herself. As she grapples with her own relationship with substances and develops feelings for a new employee, Hannah, the film explores themes of grief, desire, responsibility, and the fine line between caretaking and self-destruction. Hadestown: The Musical (Crosswalk/LD Entertainment) (World Premiere — Spotlight +) — Directed by Brett Sullivan with Rachel Chavkin credited as Director of Stage Production, this screen adaptation brings Anaïs Mitchell’s Tony-winning musical “Hadestown” to the cinema in a way that caters to both devoted fans and newcomers. Featuring the five principal members of the original Broadway cast—Reeve Carney, André De Shields, Amber Gray, Eva Noblezada, and Patrick Page—reuniting on the West End, the film reinterprets the timeless Greek mythology love stories at the heart of “Hadestown” with theatrical power and cinematic intimacy, examining devotion, temptation, sacrifice, and the delicate hope that love can triumph over fate. After the premiere, audiences will be treated to a special musical performance by Reeve Carney and Eva Noblezada, turning the event into a true Tribeca-style night where film and live artistry collide. Happy Hours (World Premiere) — Written and directed by Katie Holmes, who also stars alongside Joshua Jackson, “Happy Hours” delves into the emotional ache of timing—what happens when life moves on, but the heart keeps a door cracked open. The story follows former sweethearts who unexpectedly reunite years after their relationship ended. In the poignant shock of this reunion, they begin to rekindle a connection that never fully disappeared. As they navigate careers, family responsibilities, and personal dreams, the film explores the tender, complicated question of whether love is something to return to or something to rebuild in a new shape, with new boundaries and new bravery. It’s a romance grounded in adulthood rather than fantasy, where the stakes extend beyond chemistry to the lives they’ve built apart. Runtime: 80 minutes. Happy Hours – – World Premiere – Spotlight Narrative

Kingston (World Premiere) — Directed by Carlos Key and Kalijah Rowe, and written by the same duo, “Kingston” is a sharp, character-driven exploration of class, identity, and ambition within the polished pressures of a prestigious academic institution. At Kingston College, the semester becomes a crucible as multiple lives intersect: a first-generation student striving for belonging, the son of a billionaire shaped by privilege and expectation, a noncommittal situationship revealing emotional fault lines, and a Chinese professor whose presence complicates the campus ecosystem in both personal and political ways. As their paths tangle, the university’s surface-level harmony begins to unravel, offering a powerful narrative about ambition and belonging.
