Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts has never been the kind of place you simply “attend.” You arrive, you wander, you listen—and somewhere between the gardens and the stage lights, the experience starts to feel like a reset.
This summer, the celebrated cultural destination returns with its highly anticipated Summer Season, bringing audiences together for over 30 performances from June 20 to August 2, 2026. Once the private home of music and art lovers Walter and Lucie Rosen, Caramoor has grown into one of the region’s most distinctive spaces for live performance and cultural discovery—a sanctuary where music, arts, and nature are not separate worlds, but one continuous atmosphere.
Across the season, the estate becomes a living instrument. Performances unfold in five distinct settings—the Venetian Theater, Spanish Courtyard, Friends Field, Sunken Garden, and the intimate Music Room—each offering its own mood, acoustics, and sense of occasion. It’s the kind of programming that doesn’t just fill a calendar; it transforms a landscape.
Among this year’s standout events is a night built for bold energy and genre-crossing brilliance: Yuja Wang, piano, and People of Earth perform on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 7:30 pm at the Venetian Theater
Few artists command a stage like Yuja Wang. Known for her fearless technique, magnetic presence, and the kind of musical precision that feels almost unreal, the superstar pianist makes her Caramoor debut in a collaboration that promises to be as unexpected as it is exhilarating.
Joining her is People of Earth, one of New York City’s most exciting Latin music supergroups, for a vibrant journey through the sounds of the Caribbean—a program composed and music directed by Cuban piano phenom Ahmed Alom. Together, they create a musical meeting point where classical virtuosity and rhythmic fire speak the same language, turning the Venetian Theater into a space of movement, colour, and celebration.
People of Earth features an all-star lineup:
- Raul Rios(trumpet, vocals)
- Jesus Ricardo(trumpet, vocals)
- Rubén Rengel(violin, vocals)
- Ivan Llanes(percussion, vocals)
- Gabriel Globus-Hoenich(percussion, bandleader)
At Caramoor, nights like this don’t end when the final note lands—they linger in the air, carried out into the gardens with the audience, long after the applause. And if the Summer Season is about anything, it’s that: music that doesn’t just entertain, but moves through you—in a place designed to make you feel fully awake.
Tickets are available for purchase online at caramoor.org; by phone at 914.232.1252 Tuesdays through Fridays from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm; and on site from the Box Office two hours before each performance.
Caramoor is located at 149 Girdle Ridge Road in Katonah, NY, and is open daily from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm for free exploration.
