We had the awesome opportunity to chat with Isabella. She’s a gem! Check out the interview below.

Hi, Isabella! Thank you for granting the interview. You’re an acting sensation! Your career is soaring and we’re excited to speak with you about. What do you enjoy most about acting?

I enjoy everything about acting, Whoopi Goldberg once said “An actress can only play a woman. I’m an actor, I can play anything.”. I am an actor, I don’t just get to play dress up, I can bring a whole new story and character to life in an instant. Acting allows me to portray a character or person I wouldn’t usually see myself being.

What inspired you to become an actress?

When I was 3 years old, I would point to the Television set and tell my parents I wanted to be on the TV.  At the age of 4, my mom took me to go see “Annie” on Broadway, I cried because I wanted to be on stage not in the audience. That’s when my mom enrolled me into the preschool of performing arts. Growing up I would watch the Emmys and the Grammy awards, I loved hearing the acceptance speeches then during the commercials, I would pretend to give my speech.

Let’s talk about the importance of branding yourself. What advice can you share with aspiring talent?

I believe it’s very important to stay true to yourself and respect one another. We are all strong enough to stand up and follow our dreams. In the Industry, you can’t lose sight of your goals and determination is key to being successful. You have to see the fun side of everything, you’re not always gonna book the job.

Isabella LeonWhat has been your biggest challenge in the industry?

The biggest challenge is the LA Traffic, but I have to say it’s when adults question me asking if this is my dream or my moms. My family and friends have always been very supportive of me because they’ve always known that this is my passion.

What’s the ultimate direction of your career?

I just recently turned 11, but I look forward to what the future has to hold. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for me this upcoming year.

Tell us about your song “Dance With Me.”

The inspiration for my song is inspired by all the powerful women in my life, from my mom, my grandma, aunts, cousins, and friends. My music video featured my best friend, Nicole

Lemus, who I met on this app called Musically. Nicole was being bullied online while broadcasting live on the app. After I saw all the hateful comments, I knew I had to stick up for her, little did I know a friendship will blossom from this. Now we are inseparable and I’m so happy she was able to represent girl power in my music video.

When looking forward on your career, what do you hope to achieve and why?

I just finished a horror film called “BITS” so I hope in the near future I could book a recurring role in a series or possible movie roles. I enjoy working on set because it gives me the opportunity to work alongside an amazing group of talented people, who share the same passion as me.

Who have been your biggest influences?

All of the actors and actress, young and old, inspiring. One of my musical inspirations is Anthony Gonzales he is an amazing role model in the industry, his voice in the movie “Coco” moved me. I also enjoy the musical talents of Etta James, Frank Sinatra, and Patsy Cline.

If you had to do it all over again, would you still choose this career? Would you do anything differently?

Yes, I cannot see myself not being in this industry. This is the reason I wake up in the morning and work so hard every day to achieve my goals. What I wish I would have done differently, would be being more active on social media.

Do you have anything else you would like to share about your career?

I’m working on another single in the recording studio, that would include a music video. I’m also working on a film project, but sadly I can’t go into further details at this time.
