HELP, filmed over just 12 days, is a testament to producing films during such a turbulent time. Due to UK lockdown restrictions, only 20 cast and crew members were involved. Help is a decent independently made effort that has a slow burn. The dialogue clearly prepares you for what is to come. The relationship between Grace, fresh from a recent break up who comes to visit her friend Liv and her boyfriend, Edward, on his birthday is questioned from the unspoken weird punctuation that occurs during their conversations.

Garnished with dashes of suspense leading to a climactic ending, viewers need to be patient as the most obvious of questions is eventually answered. This movie touches on betrayal, infidelity, and domestic violence from a different standpoint which is quite rare to an extent in film making, considering statistically that the opinion on such a topic tends to lean one way. Scenes of sex and violence are present but with clear justification as it ties in with the storyline. There are some flashback scenes that may throw you at some point but once again, the end makes it quite clear as to what you may have been thinking.
